Do You Feel You're Transmitting Yoga?

You know the alignment, the cues, and the techniques. You may even teach them. And on some days you still feel that you are not transmitting yoga.

There is a reason. Most yoga trainings teach a philosophy built for people who leave the household, and most of us live in one. We carry that philosophy into our practice and our classes, and we feel the gap, because what we have not lived, we cannot transmit.

Tantra is the path built for the householder, and it begins with presence. Join Artemis and Bhairav, teachers in a living tantric lineage, for three free live sessions on why, and on how yoga becomes whole when presence is its ground. Whether you teach, practise, or are only beginning to wonder what yoga is for, you are welcome here. Sexuality is not part of this series.

A Three-Part Journey Home to Presence

Each session is live on Zoom with Artemis and Bhairav. Every session closes with a live transmission practice, followed by your questions. The transmission practice is recorded and is not shared in the replay, so it is available only to those who join live. Replays of the teachings, and bonus practices to take home, go to everyone who registers.

The Longing Beneath the Technique
Thursday, November 26
10:00 AMĀ PT

You know the alignment, the cues, and the practices, and you still feel a longing the practice has not answered.

In this session you will:

  • Trace how a path of liberation travelled from the forest and the cave to the modern studio, and what was left behind on the way.
  • Discover why PataƱjali's yoga was written for renunciates and why that's blocking your practice.
  • Discover what transmission adds to a technique that is already well practised.
  • Take home a one-question self-audit for your next practice.

Where does the answer live? Session 2 takes you there.

Live only: a transmission practice, then Q&A with Artemis and Bhairav.

Coming Home to Presence
Tuesday, December 1
11:00 AMĀ PT

Presence is what joins āsana, prāṇāyāma, meditation, and mantra into one practice. This session takes you inside it.

In this session you will:

  • Learn what presence is, how to recognise it, and why every practice has been pointing toward it.
  • Explore the subtle body, with prāṇa, the nāįøÄ«s, and the chakras as the energetic side of āsana that most trainings leave out.
  • Meet Tantra as the path of the householder, with mantra, yantra, yajƱa, pÅ«jā, and kriyā, and see why sexuality is not part of this teaching.
  • Understand the guru principle and the guru person, and what to look for in any teacher you meet.
  • Be guided through a practice of noticing.

If presence is the ground, who can help you stay there? Session 3 answers.

Live only: a transmission practice, then Q&A with Artemis and Bhairav.

Held by a Living Lineage
Thursday, December 3
10:00 PM PT

The practices were never meant to travel alone. Discover what a living lineage carries that no book, recording, or algorithm can.

In this session you will:

  • Enter the tantric heart (hį¹›daya), the centre of awareness beyond the chest, where nonduality and bhakti meet in ordinary life.
  • Learn what transmission is and how it moves from teacher to student through teaching, practice, and upadeśa.
  • See why a teacher you can ask changes how you practise and what you teach.
  • Ask Artemis and Bhairav your questions live.

Live only: a transmission practice, then Q&A with Artemis and Bhairav.

What You’ll Take Away

By the end of this series, you’ll have:

The Ground Beneath Your Practice

The Energetic Side of Yoga

See the subtle body (prāṇa, nāįøÄ«s, and chakras) that most trainings leave out, and how Tantra works with it.

A Tradition You Can Trust

Follow the history of yoga and Tantra, learn the difference between the guru principle and the guru person, and know what to look for in a teacher.
